Fran graduated from the University of Southern Maine with both a Batchelor of Music in Performance and a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. She has taught in Public schools and privately for 20 years.

Fran performs professionally in various classical and nonclassical groups playing cello, clarinet, and guitar as well as singing. She teaches a variety of musical styles including Pop, Rock, Folk, Blues, Country, and Swing, as well as choral singing, chamber singing, and church choirs.

Having taught students of all ages Fran is equally skilled in teaching children and adults of all skill levels. Her teaching style is traditional, with an emphasis on proper technique and music reading skills. She augments the method books with pieces of any style the student enjoys playing. Fran is a believer in positive reinforcement and gives generous praise when it is earned.
